Summary of Picnic and HOA Meeting
- It went pretty well despite the tight schedule. It would have been more convenient to start at 5:30 so most people would be seated when the HOA meeting portion was done.
- Many residents just wanted time to visit with their neighbors, so the presentation was a slight intrusion
- The firetruck was well attended when Pam gave people a ten minute break from the presentation
- It seemed like food for 80 people was about right… we had some leftovers, but not too much. I would replace the green beans with baked beans next time. The lemonade was totally gone, and 3 bags of iced tea were left over. I think drinks were a good addition to an event like this.
- Chandra’s Indian food was a big hit as well.
- Attendees: 73 adults, 29 children from 6-14, 5 and under were not counted. Five were from the Fire Dept and Emergency Preparedness group.
- Event cost (Bruce's receipts):
- Vasa Park: $440 for the shelter, $441.10 for the entrance fees, total: $881.10
- Catering: Dickeys: $1357.80 (not including tip), Mayuri: $137.50, total: $1495.30
- Posters: $82.47 from Office Depot
- Total: $2458.87
