Introductions - Bruce
What the HOA Board has been up to - Bruce
What the HOA Board has planned for the next year - Bruce
The question of curb painting house numbers was discussed, and we agreed to wait until the CCR rewrite was complete.
CCR Rewrite Status and Feedback – Bruce
The description of the latest changes and the final fees associated with filing. The Lawyer fees have run around $5k out of a budgeted $20k. Mailing of the CCRs and the ballots to achieve a 75% majority was discussed. Martha Lindley discussed barking dogs and cars parked illegally on the street. Alex countered that most of the cars are gone during the day, satisfying BCC statute 11.23.020 and RCW statute 46.55.085. Cars parked on the sidewalk are a common violation of RCW 46.61.570. The HOA Board chose to not duplicate Bellevue and Washington statutes in the CCRs, since they already exist.
Fernando Gastelo and Mercy Sommer suggested that we have a write-in area on the ballot, for describing the reason why in the event that a "no" vote was given.
Architectural Committee –Helen
A review of what Helen and Wesley Tojio (Architectural Committee) have arbitrated over the last year was described.
Financial review – Sarah
Some questions about our non-profit status was raised since we have around $26k in our bank account. Sarah said that $25k was the cutoff, but at our current deficit spending of $2500 per year, we'll be below that number in the next year.
Communications – Alex
An overview of the 41.5 website, email blasts, and other social media websites were described by Alex
Social – Carla
A review of what we've done so far this year (Easter Egg Hunt), and what's still planned for the rest of the year. The consensus was that catering last years picnic worked well, but faster service service would be better.
Elections – Bruce
No nominations for new candidates was received

General discussion:

  • Everett: get a cop with a radar gun, put temporary speeding sign at Everett's house, put a DVR type camera in entrance island, add fake cameras and signs.
  • Ann Marie Clark: would like to host Lego Mindstorm programming for interested parents at her house
  • Mercy: Ask city of Bellevue about painting sidewalk crosswalks in upper neighborhood
  • Lot 7 is doing a new fence that surveyers have put 12 feet into Tom Teressi's property, which is the larger home and property behind lots 4-7. Perhaps a second survey should be requested.
